Water a precious liquid!

A continuous supply of water is needed for all living things.Man can live up to 6 weeks without food, but only a few days without water.Every cell in the body needs water.

Water makes up 70 % of our total body weight. Pure water is heaven's choicest blessings. Its proper use promotes health by providing for the necessities of the body and resisting diseases. Internally, the body's organs and tissues require large quantities of water to work effectively.

Water is essential for efficient circulation of the blood (90 % water) which carries oxygen and nutrients to every cell,removes waste,and transport germ fighting cell.

Water helps to keep body temperature within normal range. Water keeps eyes moist . Without water , eyes would dry , become inflamed and lead to loss of vision.

Water lubricates and cushions bones and joints. Water is important for saliva and other digestive juices. Water relieves both physical and mental fatigue. (Exhaustion during the day). Did you know that the brain is 85 % water?.

Water washes out the bladder and prevents certain kinds of bladder cancers. Evidence suggests water causes less blood clot and decreases  the incidence of heart attacks.

The body looses about 10 glasses of water every day.

From the kidney-

  • 5 1/2 glasses
  • Lungs2 glasses
  • The skin-2 glasses
  • GI track-1/2 glass

       Total10 glasses

Food supplies about 3 glasses of water . Metabolic processes provide 1 1/2 glass for a total of 4 glasses. A person need to drink at least 6 glasses of water a day. Enough water should be consumed to keep the urine a pale yellow. The health benefits of water are astounding. It is one of God's greatest gifts to us. It benefits our digestive system, our skin, muscles, circulation, kidneys, bladder, prostate and breath (decreases in halitosis).

Many conditions increase water loss:

  • &ampnbspHigh fever
  • Hard physical work
  • Illness
  • Vomiting and diarrhea
  • Nursing mother
  • Dry air
  • High protein foods

Externally cleaning the skin helps to get rid of impurities that come out through the skin pores. A nice bath in lukewarm or cold water fortifies against the common cold and other illnesses. It improves circulation, invigorates the body, refreshes the mind, brightens the intellect, soothe the nerves, increases the muscle flexibility and helps the digestive organs, stomach, liver and bowels.

I have informed you about the physical and mental importance of water. The Bible tells us how to satifsy spiritual thirst, John:737, says,'If any man thirst, let him come unto me and drink'.

The internal use of water will quench your thirst temporarily. The spiritual refreshing water that comes from Christ will quench your thirst forever.
